We left Rarotonga with Faimou, our new friend at the steering wheel, helped by Hervé. Birds following the va'a. On the morrow, FISH again on our line ! We're all having lunch together to honour this gift from the ocean.

At nightfall, Punua took the wheel. Clear sky and at last ... this feeling of quiet isolation is here. Already 121 nautical miles behind us, but still 741 ahead before arrival in Tongatapu.
Clearly our new bermudian sail is less efficient under abaft wind. Still we have decided to keep our aurique sail down for now.Still one reeling point on the headsail. Haere maru, tapae papu (slowly bu surely ...) ...
